NAHRS recognizes member contributions to the Section and to the profession in several ways:

• Award for Professional Excellence recognizes outstanding leadership and service for a librarian in meeting the information needs of nursing and allied health professionals. The winner receives a plaque and a check for $100.00 at the annual meeting. [Nomination Process]

• Recognition for Lifetime Professional Contribution acknowledges a career of service at the time of retirement. If you know of a NAHRS member, or are yourself reaching retirement, please contact the Chair of the Honors Committee so that NAHRS can recognize this milestone.

• Special Recognition Award highlights unique efforts contributing to the success of the Section. This occasional award is granted at the recommendation of the Honors Committee with the approval of the NAHRS Executive Board.
